Ken and I have been friends since undergrad art school, at SVA. He was a year ahead of me, but we met through a photo professor and became fast friends. We shared many dinners and drinks and a few car trips to the Bronx (can't remember why now) eating Doritos and chit chatting about life, a late-night outing with Sheila to go dancing at the Palladium on 14th St a.
Ken moved to Brooklyn for a few years and when he lived on Hicks St we went up to the roof for a photo session with my new/old 127 Rollei camera.
Here is the contact sheet from the shoot. I love how free and loose he looks in the 1970s.
