I have many party- and wild-night-memories of Kenny, but the one that keeps coming to mind is seeing a photo, years and years ago, at his parents' house in Long Island, of his mother, May Golden. The picture was taken just as she returned from the hospital with her newborn twins. She is holding Kenneth and Kevin in each arm, standing in the sunshine in front of their family home, looking happy and sweet. I don't have the photo but I can see it clearly in my mind's eye.

Fortunately for us all ! Especially Brendan, Maura and Bridget. (But for me too!)
I remember a funny story that goes with this photo. Apparently our mother had PROMISED Pat that she would be getting a little sister. Our mother called from the hospital to tell Pat that she was a big sister (again). Pat asked if it was a girl, to which our mother responded "no." Then Pat said, so it's a boy to which our mother responded "no." Pat, known for being very bright even at a young age, realized that there was more to this story.
Pat asked what was the baby and our responded "twins." Pat reluctantly asked if there were twin boys or twin girls. Pat was not happy with the response of twin boys. Fortunately I arrived the next year.
Pat, you haven't changed a bit!
Here's a picture of my Mom holding the Twins which Eleanor may recognize.
