At cub scouts, or other community picnics Ken and I participated in the three legged race. We were the same size, unlike other pairings. In this race, each team has 1 leg of each runner strapped to their teammate, and then at GO they race to the finish. Ken and I being identical had a great advantage. The other contestants were mismatched to a taller friend or sibling.
We would prep ourselves by chanting which leg we would start with, and once the race started we were off. Most of the other teams would have fallen and attempting to get up or be at best a distance second. If this had been an Olympic event we would have medaled, or even been featured on a box of Wheaties, Ken and I were winners at an early age.
