As young boys, cub scouts or at other picnics Ken and I would participate in the three legged race. In this race each team has 1 leg of each runner tied together so it is three legged two people running to the finish line. Ken and I being exactly the same size, had a great advantage.
Many other teams were mismatched sizes of siblings or friends. Ken and I would prep chanting which leg we would start with and once started we were like a bullet to the finish line, while the other contestants had fallen and were attempting to get up and finish the race.
if this had been an Olympic event we would have medaled, and who knows maybe been the first pre teens on a Wheaties box? Ken and I were winners at an early age. Kevin Golden
