This is another card from Linda Covello, Linda makes beautiful cards that she adds glitter to. The glitter doesn’t photograph as well, so I am sorry to say I cannot share the sparkle with your. Maybe that’s an appropriate loss.

TO MY GRACIOUS DEAR FRIEND KENNETH. I met you through our mutual friend Richard, it was instant friend love. When I was in New York we would meet most Saturday nights to go to dinner or dancing but only after the TV show, The Golden Girls. It was a must on your TV viewing list. That meant a late night start but it was always a fun time with you as my companion. When I no longer had a darkroom in NYC, you were so generous to allowing me to access your home and darkroom. I tried to reciprocate in some small way by doing some cleaning without interrupting your very well organized space. I know how busy life is in NYC & getting around to the details can be difficult. This day I over cleaned your cups by using a little Clorox, this was frowned upon as being toxic. You were very sensitive to environmental & political issues for your time. Do you remember the first gift you ever gave me? ....It was GOFFY PIG EARRINGS, which I gave back to you when I stopped wearing earrings. I thought them so delightful I wanted you yo be in charge of who was to have the honor of having them. The greatest gift you ever gave me was your unique inner self. I am so grateful to have had Kenneth Sean Golden in my life. I can’t thank you enough for that great gift, my heart will miss you my dearest BUDDY. Karen Gaines

At cub scouts, or other community picnics Ken and I participated in the three legged race. We were the same size, unlike other pairings. In this race, each team has 1 leg of each runner strapped to their teammate, and then at GO they race to the finish. Ken and I being identical had a great advantage. The other contestants were mismatched to a taller friend or sibling. We would prep ourselves by chanting which leg we would start with, and once the race started we were off. Most of the other teams would have fallen and attempting to get up or be at best a distance second. If this had been an Olympic event we would have medaled, or even been featured on a box of Wheaties, Ken and I were winners at an early age. Kevin Golden
